FAQ

Frequently asked questions about the platform

How does this work exactly?

After signing into our platform, you will be able to add Zinc to ad-hoc meetings, or sync directly with your calendar. Our meeting bot will attempt to join the meetings you specify. During the meeting, we record the audio and the names of the participants. After the meeting ends, we convert the audio into a transcription and use this to generate an analysis report. We then send this report to you. You will be able to see all your meeting reports on our platform as well.

What data is stored and for how long?

We store meeting recordings for 7 days, before they are permanantly deleted. This is purely for fault tolerance, in case we need to regenerate analysis reports. We store meeting transcriptions and analysis reports in our protected database linked to your account indefinitely, until you delete your account. If you delete your account, all data associated with you will be permanently deleted.

Who can access my data?

Only authorized users can access thier own data. Our engineers may access your data for debugging purposes. We will never share your data with third parties.

Is my data being used to train AI models?

No, your personal information is not being used to train AI models.

Do I need approval from IT to use Zinc?

Adding Zinc to your meetings is akin to inviting someone outside your org to your meeting. Think of it as a guest consultant who is taking notes and giving you follow up actions. If your organization has strict IT policies, you may need to get approval from your IT department before using Zinc.
